Whoa

I am flabbergasted. I was tooling around today and found a post by Life in the Fast Lane (March 8, 2007) that mentions me. Me! I cannot tell you how quickly my jaw hit the floor when I read "An excellent post by Lemon Blossom really made me think about the roots of religion and why people feel such a need for it." I wrote an excellent post?! I made someone think?! Seriously, I feel like my blog is all fluff and complaining about how hard things are right now, so to see that at least once I have made someone think makes me want to write about something else that might be thought provoking. So, here goes...

*Silence*

Um, ok, hold on. This is embarrassing.

*Silence*

Well, folks, I guess that confirms it. This blog will only have one thought provoking post in it, so if you want to think you can go visit Equality, Gluby, or Mormon Stories. If you want fluff and someone to complain with, come visit me!

Lemony, You will obviously be surprised to find recounting your post religion dilemma definately thought provoking. You write well, you share your emotions, feelings, and situations. You seem a very open person about what your problems are and how you are addressing them. The up shoot and happy side is that others are able to see someone else dealing with the same problems they are, and they find that encouraging, theraputic, and gives a sense of community to others who maybe feeling a divorce of community and a total sense of isolation.

Your faith should be up lifting; your communion with Jesus should be inspiring. You are showing how distructive religion can be instead of hiding it. This helps others more than you must realize.

Supernova - :)

Thank you. I don't know that I have ever thought of my writing as beautiful, or even good, really, but it heartens me to know you do!

FFG - Phew!!

Cele - Thank you, as well. I am trying to be honest with myself (which is harder than I thought it would be) and I hope that it may, somehow, help someone else.

Though I am not sure if I believe in the divinity of Jesus anymore, or whether there is a God, I am slowly finding inspiration in humanity, nature, love, forgiveness, and compassion.

JA - If you think my blog has just the right amount of fluffy, you should try my angel food cake! (Ok, maybe not as I have never even tried to make one, but a girl can wish)

And your blog is thought-provoking and I love it. Don't knock my friends! :)
